December 2015 has been jam packed full of memorable events – much like last year but with far less trips to the doctor and hospital, much to my relief.
We started our holiday in Johannesburg, which is usually a joy because all the vaalies head to the sea early, but this year Johannesburg was bustling with people – a sign of the times I suppose.
The first few days were spent by the pool and just enjoying being home. We saw the Christmas lights uo the road which always puts us in the Christmas mood, and this year Menzies got to enjoy them too.
We went to Silverstar Casino for the day and enjoyed their beach festival. It was so much fun for Hunter, he spent the day on the waterslides, in the fountains and on the beach building sand castles, while we watched from the sidelines sipping vodka.
That night preparation began for Blake’s proposal. He had given instructions on what to do and I had the privilege of setting it up. See more in the next post.
We also made our way to Sandton City to see Paw Patrol, where Chase and Marshall entertained you both and taught you about emergencies, which is pretty relevant in our country. After that we spent a good 2 hours in the Lego pit.
Before I knew it Christmas was on our doorstep. It passed by so quickly and the days after were spent recovering and enjoying l8nguyen lunches.
Now we prepare for our beach holiday in Ballito, just as everyone else comes home.
It’s been so special spending all day with the 2 of you. I hope we made some special memories together.
